Description
In a world between dream and reality, we encounter figures that are entirely present with themselves – in contemplation, memory or quiet connection with others. Each motif is carried by a calm, light-filled atmosphere that captures the depth of human feeling. The works are inspired by the spirit of Romanticism yet realized through modern means – with subtle emotionality, restrained coloring and a touch of nostalgia.
Materials
High-quality watercolors were used for this series, which excel through their luminosity and transparency. Painted on cold-pressed, acid-free watercolor paper with a weight of at least 300 g/m². Fine gradients and precise structures were created using kolinsky sable brushes of various sizes – for maximum control with a simultaneously soft application of paint.
