The series “City Syntax USA” interprets the ten largest cities of the United States in a modern, geometrically abstract visual language. Each composition conveys the character and visual atmosphere of its city – not through literal depiction, but through color, form, movement and rhythm. The series connects architecture with emotion, urbanity with symbolism.
Description
In this series, the ten largest cities of the United States are reinterpreted as abstracted urban bodies. Beyond conventional cityscapes, urban identities unfold through geometric rhythms, tectonic lines and color-dense spaces. The works ask not how a city looks – but how it feels, how it is structured and culturally charged. Each composition condenses history, architecture, movement and energy into a dynamic visual system.
Technique
The works are created digitally but draw aesthetically on analog techniques such as gouache, screenprinting and geometric painting. Clear forms, high-contrast color fields, modulated grids and abstracted silhouettes dominate. The compositions incorporate elements from Cubism, Suprematism and Futurism, combining them with contemporary clarity through digital layer technique, vector aesthetics and deliberate texture breaks.
